5 Single Point Load Cells

At Variohm, we have many different types of load cells to offer.  In this article, we are focusing on five excellent single point Load Cell suitable for various applications.

With Aluminium, Stainless Steel and Hermetically sealed Stainless Steel options, you can find a load cell to suit your needs.

The most common applications for single point load cells are found in small to medium sized platform scales.

1. L6N Single Point Load Cell

The L6N Single Point Load Cell has a protection rating of IP65. It is suitable for both single and double load cell structured platform scales. It is constructed of Aluminium-alloy and is colourless anodized. The maximum platform size for the L6N is 350 X 400mm

The L6N single point load cell is from our supplier Zemic in the Netherlands. It is well suited to applications such as pricing scales and bench scales.

2. 1022 Single Point Load Cell

The 1022 Single Point Load Cell from Vishay is low profile and has been designed specifically for mounting in low cost weighing platforms. It is small in size at just 22mm high, is extremely accurate and in constructed of aluminium making it well suited to retail, counting and bench scales.

The 1022 Single Point Load Cells is available in capacities from 3 to 200kg and has OIML approval. It is IP66 protection rated and has an optional ATEX hazardous area approval, FM approval and symmetric configuration.

3. B6N Single Point Load Cell

The B6N Single Point Load Cell is constructed of stainless steel and is IP67 protection rated. It is a bending beam load cell and is well suited to applications including weighing equipment such as platform scales and belt scales.

The maximum platform size for the B6N is 400 X 400mm. It has OIML approval, optional ATEX hazardous area approval and is available in capacities from 8 – 200kg. The B6N is from our supplier Zemic and as with all Zemic load cells, it provides an economical and straight forward system for many small to medium sized platform scales.

4. HPS Single Point Load Cell

The HPS Single Point Load Cell from Vishay is well suited for use on food platforms, process weighing, multi-head packaging machines and marine hybrid scales.

It is a fully welded stainless steel load cell giving it a unique construction which ensures that is can be used in harsh environments in industries such as; food, chemical and allied industries.

It is OIML approved and has optional ATEX and FM certifications.

5. BM6G Single Point Load Cell

The last of our 5 single point load cells is the BM6G from Zemic. It is constructed of stainless steel and has the option of either IP68 or IP69K protection ratings. It is suitable for use on platform scales, belt scales and other similar weighing devices.

For the 100-500kg capacity the maximum platform size is 800 x 800mm and for the 10-50kg capacity the maximum platform size is 400 x 400mm. The BM6G is OIML approved and optional ATEX hazardous area approval.
