Automotive Sensor Types and uses

The different types of sensors used in automotive applications include;

Rotary Position Sensors – rotary position sensors can be used for various applications in the automotive industry. One of our more well-known applications is throttle control; for this application we have a range of our own Hall Effect sensors, these are programmable which make them perfect for this application. 

Temperature Sensors – temperature sensors are used for monitoring engine and gearbox temperature and exhaust gas temperature, to name a few.

Pressure sensors – pressure sensors are used within the automotive industry; pressure transducers are used to monitor things such as fuel/oil and brake pressure.

Combined pressure and temperature sensors – we have a range of combined pressure and temperature sensors which are used within automotive and Motorsport applications as they can monitor two variables simultaneously and save space in applications where space is limited.
