What is a Pressure Transducer Used for? A Pressure Transducer is a type of pressure sensor which is available from Variohm. They can be used for many different applications throughout different industries; in fact, they are so diverse that the applications are almost endless. What is a Pressure Transducer Used for? Pressure transducers are used to measure pressure – often either air pressure or pressure in a liquid. They are used to inform personnel that the pressure has risen/dropped above/beyond a certain limit, this could be for safety reasons. Unlike pressure switches, pressure transducers will give feedback on actual system pressure. This makes them suitable for complex applications where exact pressure needs to be monitored. We have a range of Pressure Transducers with built-in temperature sensors – these are well suited to applications where both temperature and pressure need to be measured or where space is tight. Specific Applications Pressure transducers have been supplied by Variohm throughout many markets. These are some of the applications which have been solved by Variohm Pressure Transducers. We can offer pressure ranges from 1mbar up to 4000 bar with a compact design. Our EPTs are robust and have short lead times. As well as stock products we have a range of customisable features on our pressure transducers. Different models have different options for pressure ports, pressure ranges, pressure unit, output signal and electrical interface. Different configurations can be found on the product datasheets.
