Mitchell; Our Internal Sales Engineer

This year Mitchell Clark took on a new role as the Internal Sales Engineer for both Variohm and Ixthus.

Mitchell has been working within the Variohm group since 2012 when he joined the team as the Admin Apprentice for Ixthus. At this time his job role involved filing, order processing and stores work for Ixthus. As the stores work for Ixthus increased and Mitchell was spending more time in the warehouse, he was often asked to help out with the Variohm stores duties as well and this led to him becoming a full time employee in the warehouse. 

Mitchell enjoyed working in our warehouse and also helped out with some of the production tasks before our production department was expanded. Having worked through many areas of the business, when a sales position opened up, Mitchell decided to expand his experience again and try something new. Ixthus has supported him in this position and he is now working alongside Tony Stoyles, our External Sales Engineer.

Mitchell has been working in our sales department for a few months now, he says “I like my current role we’ve got a great team, we have a laugh and everyone’s willing to help, it’s good to speak to the customers, offer solutions and help where possible”

Having experience in many different departments has given Mitchell a deep understanding of how our order processing works and the time he spent in the stores has given him a degree of familiarity with the products we offer which has been a great help with product training and learning about part numbers. Mitchell says “working within the majority of departments you get to see what everyone does and how it’s all brought together, and you get to appreciate everyone’s individual role.” 

Graham Pattison our Group Managing Director says “Mitchell’s journey with Variohm Holdings is unique as he has worked in many different departments for both Variohm and Ixthus. He has accepted his new challenge as our Internal Sales Engineer, we wish him well and look forward to seeing him working hard in his new position.”

As a holdings group we try our hardest to look after our employees and make sure they are in the right place doing the right job for them, that sometimes means offering our employees qualifications and sometimes they are offered different positions.
