Jacob Upton achieves Bachelor of Engineering degree

Jacob Upton, our Engineering Supervisor, has recently been awarded a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Warwickshire College and University Centre (WCG).

The degree course entailed one day a week day release at WCG, with the course covering units including the mechanics of materials, manufacturing processes, Finite Element Analysis, research methods, and a project/dissertation.

In 2016, Jacob joined Variohm Eurosensor as one of our engineering apprentices. During his time with the business he has achieved a BTEC Level 3, Higher National Certificate (HNC) Level 4, Higher National Diploma (HND) Level 5 and can now add BEng Level 6 to his extensive list of qualifications.

He is a true asset to our team of talented engineers who work extensively on bespoke and custom sensing solutions for our customers across a variety of markets including  transport, medical, industrial automation, and renewable energy.”

In June 2023, Jacob was appointed to the role of Quality Engineer with responsibility for ensuring that products and processes meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
