This Load Cell is the BF6 single point Load cell. Single point Load cells are used for a wide variety of weighing functions. The most common application is use within small to medium sized platform scales. Because of this popular application, they can be known as “Platform load cells”. Single point Load cells are the most common load cells and account for the largest portion of load cells worldwide.

The uniqueness of single point load cells comes from the ability to accept “off-centre” loads. The weighing platform can be supported by being bolted directly to the load cell. The weight placed on any point of this platform can then be accurately measured creating an economical and straight forward solution for many small to medium sized platform scales.
