Dual Pressure and Temperature Sensors

Dual pressure and temperature sensors are part of our product range here at Variohm. They combine pressure measurement and temperature measurement in one component. 

Different types of dual pressure and temperature sensors

Within our range we have two different types of dual pressure and temperature sensors;

EPTT - Eurosensor Pressure Transducer Temperature, meaning the two sensors are combined within the same housing - the temperature sensing element is internal. For example our EPTT5100

EPTTE - Eurosensor Pressure Transducer Temperature External, meaning that the temperature probe is external to the pressure sensor and can be seen. (see image) Examples of this type of sensor are our EPTTE1400, EPTTE3100 and EPTTE5100. The external temperature sensing element allows temperature and pressure to be measured at the same time and independently.

Why use a Dual Pressure and Temperature Sensor?

The main reason for using a dual pressure and temperature sensor is to save space. The most common industry for these products is the Motorsport industry where space is at a premium; having one component which can measure two variables is a better use of space than using two separate components. 

As well as being well suited to Motorsport applications, dual pressure and temperature sensors are also suitable for the measurement of gases and liquids in the following industries;

EPTTE1400 - gauge pressure up to 25bar, temperature range -50°C to +150°C linear output PT1000 sensing element.  

EPTTE3100 - gauge pressure up to 25 bar, temperature range  -50°C to +150°C with PT1000 sensing element 

EPTTE5100 - gauge pressure up to 600 bar, temperature range -50°C to +200°C

EPTT5100 - gauge pressure up to 1600 bar, temperature range -50°C to +150°C linear output
